Obituary

Mary M. Henning, age 87, of Minerva, died Wed., May 7, 2014 in Minerva Eldercare. She was born April 17, 1927 in Canton to Arthur and Minerva (Byerly) Blackburn. She retired from the family dairy farm, was a 1945 graduate of Timken High School, a member of the Stark County Farm Bureau and the Carroll County Beekeepers Club. Mary was raised in the Trinity E.U.B. Church in Canton, was a member of Christian & Missionary Alliance in Alliance for many years until it disbanded in 2007 and since then, is a member of the Robertsville Christ Memorial Church in Robertsville.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard Henning whom she married March 24, 1950; 4 sons, David (Naomi) Henning of Minerva, Dale Henning of Paris, Paul (Deborah) Henning of Marysville and Jonathan (Rebecca) Henning of Greenville, SC; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Christa Henning; sister, Rose McMillen; and 2 brothers, Blake and Ralph Blackburn.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 am in the Robertsville Christ Memorial Church with Rev. Jonathon Arnold, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Paris Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday 6-8 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva and one hour prior to services at the church.
