Mary Hafner
Age 88 of Alliance and formerly Minerva died Tuesday March 20, 2012 in the Laurels of Canton. She was born Sept. 11, 1923 in East Springfield to Frank and Mary (Horvatz) McClosky. She worked for many years at the Southern Inn in Minerva. She was a member of New Life Ministries in Louisville.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hafner who died in 2000 and a brother, Frank McClosky Jr. She is survived by 2 sons; Paul Douglas (Crystal) Hafner of Alliance, Michael (Audrey) Hafner of Minerva, adopted daughter, Claudette Richards of Sebring; 3 sisters, Helen Grady of Bucyrus, Mildred Willis of CA and Dorothy Alkier of CA; 6 brothers, John McClosky of Canonsburg, PA, Tony McClosky of Steubenville, Joe (Florence) McClosky of Carrollton, Benny (Shirley) McClosky of Amsterdam, David (Norma) McClosky of Amsterdam and Jimmy McClosky of Amsterdam, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am, March 24 in the Chapel at East Lawn Cemetery in Minerva.
