Mary "Katie" Gardner

Age 86, of Minerva, died Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in the Aultman Alliance Hospital. She was born July 13, 1934 in Minerva to Vertin and Laura (Nichols) Draher. She retired from PCC Airfoils (formerly TRW) in Minerva and was a Minerva High School graduate. Kate was an avid reader. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and volunteering at the Minerva Senior Center.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Erle S. Gardner, daughter, Lori (Stan) Ujcich of Wooster, son, Bruce (Tonya) Haines of OK, stepdaughter, Dee (Lynn) Green of West Salem, 2 stepsons, Erle Gardner of TX, Richard (Traci) Gardner of Minerva, brother, William Draher of Augusta, 6 grandchildren; Brennan Ujcich, Darian Marrs, Andrew Sargeant, Kadin, Abbie and Baylie Haines. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Marrs and a stepson, Del Gardner and 3 brothers, Don Vertin, John and Edward Draher.

Her wishes include cremation with burial in East Lawn Cemetery. There will be no formal services.
