Mary Bowman
Mary Bowman, 91 of Minerva died Thursday June 9, 2011 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born Jan. 9, 1920 in Pekin to Daniel and Sarica (Grecu) Siofletia. She was a housekeeper and member of the Minerva First Christian Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Elden "Kelly" Bowman who died in 1965, two daughters and a son-in-law; Joan Robles, Shirley Hawkins and Dan Hawkins, and a son, Elden "Junebug" Bowman Jr., sister, Ann Campbell and a brother John Siofletia. She is survived by two daughters; Betty Bowman of Minerva and Donna (Donald) Miller of Minerva, son, John (Deborah) Bowman of Minerva, a sister, Irene (Joe) Pontones of Minerva, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Ralph Norman officiating. Burial will be in Mapleton Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday 2-4 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Minerva Area Christian School.
