Mary E. Ackerman

Age 76, of Malvern passed away Friday, May 2, 2025. She was born Aug. 11, 1948 in Gassaway, WV to Herbert and Evelyn (Jackson) Cayton. She was a housewife and had worked at Ames in Carrollton.  She is a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, Bob L. Ackerman whom she married Sept. 26, 1964, daughter, Becky (Bob) Flint of Diamond, 2 sons, Bob (Amanda) Ackerman Jr. of Waynesburg, Andy Ackerman of Louisville, and a grandson which she raised, "Poke", 2 sisters, Vickie Dawn Howe of Killbuck, Becky Sue Manley of Canton, brother, Howe (Becky) Cayton of Minerva, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Lynn Dourm and a brother, Herbert "Junior" Cayton.
