Marsha L. Monk

Age 69, of Minerva, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 in her home following a 4-year battle with cancer. She was born February 10, 1948 in Hutchison, Kansas to Harold and Darlene (Mitchell) Schroll. She worked at Coastal Pet for 20 years and attended the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Monk, Jr.; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Monk, and a sister, Glenda Turner. She is survived by a son, Sam Monk, III of Carrollton; 3 sisters, Linda Monk of Minerva, Karen (Lloyd) Cross of Topeka, KS, Shelle (Jimmy) Adamopoulos of Nashville, TN; a brother, George Sanders of Malvern and serval nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Fr. Joseph DiStefano officiating. Burial will be at the Heritage Memorial Gardens in Minerva. Calling hours will be Monday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John's Villa for House B.
