Marilyn K. Jackson

Age 61, of Alliance died Thursday, March 31, 2022 in the Alliance Community Care Center.  She was born June 17, 1960 in Alliance to the late Dave and Ona Mae (Carter) Yingst of Minerva. She was a 1978 Minerva High School graduate, and a 2011 Kent State Stark honors graduate with a Bachelor's degree in English. Marilyn was the Library Resource Technician at Alliance High School for over 25 years where she humbly went above and beyond for all students. She enjoyed golfing, supporting Alliance High School sports and musicals, cheering on Ohio teams, and spending time with her huge and loving family and friends. Marilyn was a lifelong supporter of the Local Hope Foundation, Lifetime member of the VFW Post 4120 Minerva, member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, and a lifelong participant in the Wednesday night Edgewater Ladies League.

She is survived by her husband of 8 years, Ed Jackson of Alliance. Daughter, Emily (Rich) Breeze of North Canton, Son; Warren (Aubrie) Brocklehurst of Uniontown, Daughter; Katie Brocklehurst (Anthony Mayle) of Minerva, 7 grandchildren; Skylar, Raegan, Scarlett, Stella, Warren, Walker, Bennett and 1 on the way. She is also survived by her devoted siblings, Pat Donofrio, Lori (Wayne) Boord, Jenny Common, Holly (Boyd) Brewer, her twin; Carolyn Wackerly, Kim Sevek, Tara (John) Canestraro and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was loved by many and will dearly be missed.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 8 ^th at 4:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Father Victor Cinson and Shawn Jackson officiating.  Calling hours will be held Thursday 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Following funeral services on Friday, there will be a memorial social at the VFW Post 4120 of Minerva.
