Margaret Wasik

Age 87, of Columbus and formerly Robertsville, died Friday, January 22, 2021 in Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born March 12, 1933 in Canton to Frank and Mary (Mialki) Silva. She retired from the United States Postal Service where she was an operations supervisor.  She graduated from Timken High School and is a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Wasik who died in 2016 and a grandson, Nathan Porter. She is survived by 2 daughters, Joanne Marchand of Kipton, Mary (Ken) Porter of Grant Park, IL, son, Joseph (Sarah) Wasik of Columbus, sister, Fran (Jim) Haney of Dublin, brother, Manuel (Mary) Silva of Canton, 7 grandchildren; Daniel (Julie) Marchand, Steven (Bobbi) Marchand, Andrew Marchand, Michael and Patrick Porter, Joseph Wasik Jr. and Jack Wasik.

A private family Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson as celebrant. Final resting place will be Calvary Cemetery in Massillon.
