Margaret "Peggy" Jocek

Age 75, of Malvern, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024. She was born in Cleveland to Clinton and Mary (Weatherhead) Newman. She was a passionate educator who taught Math at R. G. Drage Career Center for 15 years. Peggy graduated from Cheshire High School in Connecticut and received a Bachelor's Degree in Math and Science from Marietta College. She was an active member of Pleasant Grove Chapel church, formerly active in the Lake Mohawk Property Owners Association, and as an animal lover was active with the Carroll County Animal Protection League.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul; is survived by a son, Michael (Christy), two daughters, Rebecca and Katrina (Chuck), a sister, Martha, two brothers, Douglas and Mark, and 5 grandchildren - Olivia, Riley, Madelyn, Elise, and Evan.

Following cremation, a Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 5th at 1:00 pm in the Pleasant Grove Chapel Church. Peggy's family asks in lieu of flowers that any memorial contributions be made to the Carroll County Animal Protection League or the Pleasant Grove Chapel Gazebo Fund.
