Margaret A. Jenkins

Age 101, of Bay Village and formerly Minerva, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024, in St. Mary of the Woods Nursing Center in Avon.  She was born March 18, 1923, in Farmington, WV to Charles and Rose (Furin) Elekes.  She retired from Minerva Local Schools where she taught for 23 years at West Elementary.  She is a member of the St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva.  She graduated from Farmington High School in 1941 and received a Bachelor's in Education from Kent State University.  She is a member of Sans Souci, several bridge clubs, and the Entre Nous Club of Minerva.  She was a talented seamstress, baker, and cook.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bailiff Jenkins who died in 2006; and brothers, John Sabo, Albert Sabo, Joseph Elekes, Charlie Elekes, and Martin Elekes.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan (Bruce) Cady of Bay Village; 2 sisters, Edith (Ed) Sezenski and Elsie Robinson both of Avon Lake and 2 grandchildren, Alyssa and Nicholas Cady.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be Friday at noon in St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva with Fr.
