Margaret "Marge" Houze

Age 90, of Minerva, passed away Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at the Inn at University Village in Massillon.  She was born May 18, 1935, in Powhatan Point, OH to Charles and Julia (Thompson) Walker. She worked at Tip Top Cleaners. She is a member of Peace United Methodist Church in Louisville and had participated in the Emmaus Walk for Christ. She graduated from New Lexington High School in 1953.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Houze who died in 2016; 2 sisters, Willovene Lambert and Eileen Carson and 4 brothers, Jim, Chester, Dale and Chuck Walker.  She is survived by 3 daughters, Jamie (Mark) Hohler of Malvern, Barbara Clayson of Phoenix, AZ and Darren Houze of Minerva; 7 sons, Lee (Stephanie) Barnett of Massillon, Bill (Christine) Barnett of Louisville, Mark (Kelly) Houze of Beach City, Bruce Houze of FL, James Pierce of KY, Dan (Linda) Pierce of Canton, Jeffrey (Betty) Pierce of Canton; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great-great grandson.

Calling hours for the public will be held Monday, Nov. 17th from noon to 1pm at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva followed by a private family service.  Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Total Living Center of Canton at the following link: totalliningcenter.org/giving/.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register book at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
