Marcella Rena Polen Stephens

Age 56, of Minerva, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017, in Mercy Medical Center after a several year illness.  She was born March 26, 1961 in Salem, Ohio to Moinell (Polen) (Culler) Snyder of Minerva and the late Gerald "Jerry" Polen.  She is a member of the Minerva First Christian Church, a member of the Minerva High School class of 1979, a girl scout, a boy scout den mother, and a former member of the Rainbow Girls in Minerva.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Cody (Jessica) Stephens of Washington, OH; a younger sister, Michelle Ward of Minerva; her loving companion of 8 years, Denzel Collins of Hanoverton and son Seth; 2 grandchildren, Joshua and Kerrie; niece, Madalyn Ward; nephew, Jeremiah Ward; great nieces, Emmah and Evalyn; and her grandpa, Harold Culler.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Kerry Michelle Stephens; her grandmother, DeErla Culler.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Saturday, January 6 ^th , 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Minerva First Christian Church with Pastor Dale Roberts officiating.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the friends from her school days.  "And remember girls, that at the end of our Journey a relationship with Jesus Christ is all that really matters."
