Lucinda J. Cress

Age 62, of Minerva, passed away Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, in Aultman Compassionate Care with her loving husband Ricky Cress at her side.  She was born November 2, 1961, in Canton to Dale Wilson of Canton and the late Bonnie (Whan) Wilson of Glouster. Her passion was cooking,  which she spent many years in the culinary industry as a cook working at several places including Camp Conestoga, St. Joseph's and the Minerva Classic 57. She was also a graduate of the Mansfield Business College in 1991. Lucinda was well known for her loving,  compassionate ways,  and will always be remembered for her amazing laugh and for the fact that the love that she had was unconditional.

In addition to her Father, she is survived by her husband, Ricky Cress whom she married Feb. 14, 1999; son, Bryan Brim of Minerva; stepson, Eric Cress of CA; 2 sisters, Loretta Wright of Minerva, Marjorie Wilson of Massillon; brother, Texas Wilson of Canton; 2 grandchildren, Kiarra and Rowan Brim; 2 step-grandchildren, Destiny and Madison Cress and a great granddaughter, Natlie; niece, Alyssa Wilson; 2 nephews, Christopher and Richard Wright and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her grandmother Helen Stanley,  stepmother, Anna Marie Wilson, a sister, Twila Wilson and a brother, Alfred Simones

Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 28th at 7:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Jack Pancher officiating.  Calling hours will be Saturday, 2 hours prior to services from 5:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
