Louis H. Stryffeler
Age 84, of Minerva, died Sat., June 28, 2014 in Aultman Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born March 20, 1930 in Alliance to Howard and Olive (Benner) Stryffeler. He retired from PCC Airfoils in Minerva where he had worked for 32 years. He is a member of the Minerva First Christian Church, was a US Army Veteran and member of the American Legion Post #375 in Malvern and a 22 year member of the West Twp. Ruritan Club and loved to travel.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Winifred "Fritz" Stryffeler whom he married Nov. 14, 1959, 2 daughters, Denise (John) Santangelo of Wooster, Debbie (Alden) Weichel of Bradenton, FL, 5 sons, Donald (Susan) Stryffeler of Minerva, Laverne Kandel of Austintown, Bruce (Donna) Kandel of Malvern, Danny (Gina) Sacconi of Christiansburg, VA and Keith (Rhonda) Unkefer of Port Clinton, a sister, Doris (Bob) Wagner of Alliance, brother, Floyd (Virginia) Stryffeler of East Canton, brother-in-law, Ray Lyeberger of Alliance, sister-in-law, Jane Stryffeler of Homeworth, 19 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 3 sisters, Irene Dawson, Bernice Lyeberger and Shirley McGeehan, 4 brothers, Robert, Virgil, Norman and James Stryffeler.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Dale Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday 6-8 pm in the funeral home.
