Loretta Evans
December 25, 1940 – June 27, 2025

Loretta Evans, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, went home to Heaven on June 27, 2025 at the age of 84.

Born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1940, in Massena, New York, Loretta was the cherished daughter of Agatha and Bernard Daley. Her life was a beautiful reflection of warmth, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family.

At 18 years old, Loretta married the love of her life, Spencer Evans. Together, they built a life filled with adventure, love, and shared faith, traveling across the United States for Spencer's work. Wherever their journey led them, Loretta created a home full of love, laughter, and steadfast trust in the Lord.

The couple eventually settled in North Canton, where they lived for more than 24 years and were active members and leaders at St. Paul's Parish. After Spencer's passing in August 2003, Loretta continued to live a life of faith, finding fellowship and support at St. Gabriel's Parish in Minerva.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings: Tom, Cynthia, and Gloria. She is survived by her loving children: Shawn (Kim) Evans, Suzanne (Dale) Lawson, Rachael (Wilton) Evans, and Laura Evans. She was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and a joyful great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and the countless lives she touched with her kindness, quiet strength, and ceaseless patience. Loretta will be remembered most for her deep love of family, her gift for seeing the best in everyone, and her unwavering faith in God the Holy Father.

A funeral mass will be held to celebrate Loretta's life and legacy at St. Gabriel Church at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 3rd, located at 400 W. High St, Minerva, OH 44657. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Loretta's memory to Centreville Village Assisted Living (1082 Kensington Rd NE, Carrollton, OH 44615), where she was lovingly cared for during the past four years.
