Lisa (Mitchell) Crater, age 45, of Minerva, died Tuesday, July 31st in her home surrounded by her friends and family following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 3, 1966 in Alliance to Monte and Sigrid (Clark) Mitchell of Alliance. She graduated from Malvern High School in 1985 and had worked for R. S. Sewing in Canton.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Aaron Crater whom she married Feb. 11, 1989; 3 children, Aarenda Crater of Malvern and Carissa Crater and Christopher "Bubby" Crater both of the home; sister, Angela "Angie" (Michael) Schnegg of N. Canton; brother, Gary (Denise) Mitchell of Minerva; 4 grandchildren, Braden and Phoenix Sullivan, Kendra and Joey Johns; mother-in-law, Geraldine Crater of Minerva; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Mr. Kevin Crater officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday 6-8 pm at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice for their wonderful care. Following the funeral on Friday a benefit spaghetti dinner will be held at The Farm (Family Disability Services) at 5171 Knight Road, Malvern from 3-7pm, for a $10 donation.
