Linda L. Hawkins

Linda L. Hawkins was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  She passed away after a brief illness, on February 2, 2023 at age 74.

She was daughter to Jennings and Dorcas Smith of Canton, OH.  Linda attended Timken High School and graduated in 1966.  She graduated from Stark State College later in life.  She is survived by her husband, Charlie Hawkins; as well as daughter, Heather Peterman, of New York City; son, Chris (Emily) Peterman of Utah; stepdaughter, Charlene (Jeff) Stocker of North Canton; and four grandchildren, Cameron and Zane Peterman, Owen and Erin Stocker and her best friend Rosie.  Linda retired from Diebold Inc. after twenty-eight years of service.  She was a proud member of Minerva VFW Auxiliary 4120.

Linda enjoyed living her life with her husband, Charlie and their many friends.  There was nothing she enjoyed more than sitting on her back patio in the summertime enjoying a glass of wine.  When she wasn't spending time working in her yard, she was either enjoying the beach or spending time at her monthly Diebold lunches.  She was also never afraid to let anyone know what she was thinking, but would never hesitate to help her friends and family.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 6 ^th in the Minerva VFW Post 4120.
