Linda A. Burns

Age 88, of Minerva, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2026 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born December 19, 1937 in Canton to Lemoine and Pauline (Miller) Preston. She graduated from Minerva High School. She loved to bring beauty to others and that showed through her many years of dedication at several area businesses including, Design’s by Terry, Oscar’s Furniture, Off the Beaten Path/Thomas Kinkade Gallery, Brown’s Flowers and Henri’s Cloud Nine.

What she loved more, was her family. She spent much of her time bringing her family together with every gathering and holiday she planned. She will always be remembered by those she loved as the one who brought us all together.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Burnsy” Burns who died in 2019, daughter Tanya Smith and a brother, Jim Preston. She is survived by 2 daughters, Tracy (Larry) Evans of Minerva, Penny Zamborsky of Brunswick, son-in-law, Thomas Smith of Minerva, brother, Joel Preston of Minerva and 4 grandchildren; Holly (Brian) Cronin, Charm Evans, Ashely (Jeff) Klingelsmith, Andy (Jena) Scott and 8 great grandchildren, Leea Evans, Oliver Evans, Grace Kincaid, Claira Kincaid, Emma Kincaid, Hendrix Cronin, Scarlette Klingelsmith and Caden Stewart.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Kathy Thomas officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
