Obituary

Lillian (Mallernee) Williams, age 87, of Minerva died Wed., March 28, 2012 in Aultman Hospital. She was born Nov. 3, 1924 in Flushing to Anthony and Perrie (Dale) Leone. She worked for Minerva Local Schools as a secretary at Mary Irene Day Elementary for 25 years. She is a member of the Minerva United Methodist Church and a graduate of Cadiz High School.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Williams whom she married July 12, 1980; daughter, Sue (John) Dailey of Gaithersburg, MD; son, Randy (Debbie) Mallernee of Massillon; stepdaughters, Connie (Dave) Little of Canton and Nancy Richards of Pennsboro, WV; 3 sisters, Carmen Moore of Minerva, Mary Ann (Jim) Bethel of Phoenix, AZ and Jeannie (Frank) Spano of Flushing; 3 brothers, Daniel (Janice) Leone, Harold (Ada) Leone and Robert (Roselyn) Leone all of Massillon; 4 grandchildren, Shannon (Fred) Kent, Ryan Daily, Alexa and Hannah Mallernee; 2 stepgrandchildren, Melissa and Mark Richards and 2 great grandchildren, Christian and Landon Kent. She is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Dorothy Dodds and Jane Bartnicki.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Harley Wheeler officiating. Cremation will follow. Calling hours will be Sunday from noon to 2pm prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Minerva United Methodist Church or the Brem Foundation to defeat breast cancer at P. O. Box 1891, Prince Frederick, MD 20678.
