Leslie A. Guthrie, age 57, of Minerva, died Monday, April 30, 2012 in the Great Trail Care Center in Minerva. He was born Sept. 3, 1954 in Alliance to Harry and Wilma (Robbins) Guthrie of Minerva. He had worked for Transue and Williams, American Steel and Alliance Casting. He graduated from Marlington High School in 1973 and attended ITT Technical Institute and Stark State College. He attended the New Franklin United Methodist Church and was a member of the United Steel Workers.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Gwen (Rudy) Rudacille of Leechburg, PA; 3 aunts, Iris Guthrie of Evansville, IN, Jenny Locke of Lansing, MI, Marge Wolfe of Canton; uncle, Tom Guthrie of FL; 2 nephews and a niece, Russell, Roger and Katlyn Rudacille.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Elaine Weaver and Chaplain James Scalf officiating. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park in Beloit. Calling hours will be Friday from 11am to 1pm prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Franklin United Methodist Church of Crossroads Hospice.
