Lela V. Flanigan
Age 100 of Minerva died Monday Aug. 8, 2011 in Alliance Community Hospital. She was born Feb. 19, 1911 in Hibbits to Harvey and Varilla (Johnson) Leyda. She was a homemaker, waitress, bartender and nanny.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Flanigan who died in 1981 and 4 brothers; Pete, Earl, Walter and John "Bing" Leyda. She is survived by two daughters; Marilyn (Harold) Crowe of Minerva and Sharon (Ronald) Roberts of Broadview Heights, sister, Jane Collins of Malvern,5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
