Laura E. Leyda
Age 91, of Minerva, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016 in the Arbors of Minerva. She was born July 18, 1925 in Malvern to Peter and Ana (Kangrega) Hinich. She had worked for Baxter Tube in Minerva and was an employee for the Village of Minerva. She is a member of the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Canton.
She is survived by a son, Gary (Jeanette) Leyda of Minerva, granddaughters, Dawn (Craig) Henzel of North Canton and Melody (Todd) Brewier of Carrollton, great grandchildren, Chase, Alyssa, Jaden, Carson, Hanna, Morgan and Bentley. She is preceded in death by 6 sisters, Caroline Enoch, Dorothy Enoch, Eva Hunter, Mildred Toehey, Ella Hudson, Mary Enoch, 5 brothers, George, Nick, Milan "Mike", Joe, and Steve Enoch.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Fr. Aleksa Pavichevich officiating. Burial will be in Augusta Cemetery. Calling hours will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Minerva Backpack Program c/o Minerva Local Schools, 406 East St., Minerva, OH 44657.
