Larry D. Fairchild, age 63, of Minerva, died Tuesday, November 19, 2013 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. He was born Feb. 24, 1950 in Allen, KY to Den Fairchild and Rena (Boto) Polen. He had been a welder at Structural Stoneware in Minerva and American Steel in Alliance.

He is survived by his wife Loretta (Pugh) Fairchild whom he married Feb. 14, 1970; a daughter, Lisa Fairchild of Minerva; a son, Den (Maryann) Fairchild of Salineville; 3 sisters, Jan Rose Fisher of East Liverpool, Connie (Dewayne) Vanover of Stearns, KY, Deborah (Kenny) Yost of Malvern; 3 grandchildren, Caleb Clark, Jorden Fairchild, Cody Carter; and a great granddaughter, Chloe Clark. He is preceded in death by fahter, Den Fairchild, mother and stepfather, Rena and David Polen, sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Michael Buzzard.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Frank Leghart officiating. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
