Larry "Ron" Burchett
Age 73, of Minerva, died Sunday, July 5, 2015 in Aultman Hospital. He was born Sept. 2, 1941 in Betsy Layne, KY to Lacy and Euka (Blackburn) Burchett. He retired from the Timken Company where he had worked for 36 years. He had also worked for Nelson Tree Co. and Rodgers Mining and was a car enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Geraldine (McKee) Burchett whom he married Jan. 29, 1959, 4 sons, Terry Burchett of Louisville, Donald (Jan) Burchett of Minerva, Jeff Burchett of Minerva and Richard (Melody) Burchett of Minerva, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 4 sisters, Dorothy Knight, Jean Lewis, Thelma Rigsby and Lyda Battaglia and 2 brothers, T. J. and Hassell Burchett.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Kirt Henman officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wed. 6-8 pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc. or the Leukemia Foundation.
