Kory C. Spooner, age 23, of Minerva, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born Oct. 15, 1992 in Beaver, PA to Kris and Kimberly (Elliott) Spooner of Minerva. He is a heavy equipment operator for Earth-N-Wood in North Canton. He is a 2012 graduate of Minerva High School and he loved hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by 2 sisters, Kari Spooner of Amherst, Krista (Brian) Beckwith of Vermilion; paternal grandmother, Mary Suchy of Minerva; maternal grandmother, Patsy Elliott of Minerva; friend, Jared Young of Amherst; niece, Anna Marie Beckwith; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Graveside service will be held Friday at 12:00 noon in the Shadowlawn Cemetery in Newell, WV. Calling hours will be Thursday 6-8 pm at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
