Kenneth D. Ferguson, Age 84, of Minerva, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015 in the Arbors of Minerva. He was born Aug. 30, 1931 in Wooster to Jim and Irene (Lecky) Ferguson. He retired from Goodyear Aerospace after 36 years of service. He is a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva and the Knights of Columbus. He is a US Army Veteran and member of the American Legion Post #357 in Minerva, life member of the VFW Post #3301 in Carrollton and the Carrollton 40&8 and a member of the fighting McCooks.
A devoted Husband and loving father, he is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris (Fox) Ferguson whom he married June 19, 1952; daughter, Alice (Gary) Moody of Minerva; 2 sons, Kenny "Butch" (Chris) Ferguson of Jackson Twp., Virgil (Lisa) Ferguson of VA; 9 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mary Carter and Katherine Ayers; and 2 brothers, Kermit Ferguson and Donald Ferguson.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 12 noon in St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson as celebrant. Burial with full military honors will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 10 am to 12 noon prior to services at the church.
