Kelcie L. Huffman, age 73, of Malvern, OH went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 25, 2016. He was born January 17, 1943 to the late Arthur and Theta (McClung) Huffman in Hominy Falls, WV.
Kelcie had been a resident of Malvern for over 50 years. He was an active member of The Little Country Church in Waynesburg, OH. His strong faith in Christ was unmistakable and nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family. He was formerly employed at the Minerva Dairy and retired from United Foundries in Canton, OH in 2005 after 38 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of almost 53 years, Sherrie (McClaskey) Huffman of the home; 4 sons-Kevin (Robyne) Huffman of New Franklin, OH, Kerry Huffman of Indianapolis, IN, Kreg (Amber) Huffman of Columbus, OH, and Kurtis (Amy) Huffman of Charleston, SC; 7 grandchildren--Kory, Chelsie, Trevor, Noah, Landon, Adison, Kenzie; 2 great-grandsons—Logan and Kaiden; a brother, Art Huffman of Alliance, OH; Sisters--Maxine Strader of Crawley, WV, Thelma (Tom) Stevens of Mechanicstown, OH, Thelda (John) Dayton and Theta (Richard) Mathie of Carrollton, OH; his mother-in-law Laura McClaskey of Carrollton, OH, brothers-in-law Dan (Billie) McClaskey of Canal Fulton, OH, Dick (Cindy Kuhen) McClaskey of Carrollton, OH, and Tom (Susan) McClaskey of North Canton, OH.
Preceded in death by his parents; brothers—Calvin, Curby, and Roy Huffman; sisters—Eleanor Strader, Volena Boyce, and Helen Laskey; one brother-in-law, Mark McClaskey.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Little Country Church at 7886 Ravenna Ave. SE, Waynesburg with Rev. Cameron Ury officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday 6-8 pm at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
