Keith A. Purvis, age 64, of Kensington, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2015 in his home. He was born April 20, 1951 in Preble County to the late Willie and Hazel (Sheard) Purvis. He is a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Paula (Pearn) Purvis whom he married Jan. 5, 1988; 5 children; Anita (John) Nutter of Cleveland, Jennifer (David) Burns of Orrville, Angela (Frank) Dallas of Uniontown, Crystal (Brian) George of Kensington and Brandon (Brittnee) Purvis of Kensington; 3 sisters, Wanda Jean Chaney of SC, Jolene Brittingham of Huber Heights, Carolyn Howell, TN; 3 brothers, Larry Purvis of West Alexandria, Terry (Linda) Purvis of Darke County and Melvin Purvis of West Alexandria; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Purvis, sister, Lorena Purvis and a brother, Ernie Purvis.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Quaker Ridge Cemetery. Calling hours will be one hour prior to services from noon to 1:00 pm.
