Kathryn L. Edgell

Age 70, of Minerva, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025, in the Aultman Compassionate Care Center. She was born on August 27, 1954, in Martins Ferry to George and Geneva (White) Howell.  She  worked for GBS in Malvern for 15 years.  She is a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Kensington.  She was a gentle soul and loved to spend time with her family.  She was an excellent cook and was always looking for a good cookbook.  In her free time, she loved to crochet.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Edgell whom she married June 30, 2001; 3 daughters, Emma Foltz (Curt Sines) of Minerva, Stacey Phillips of Canton, Fredda Baker of Canton; 2 sisters, Sue Jones of Carrollton, Dolores (Jan) Busto of Canton; a brother, George "Skip" (Tammie) Howell of Minerva; 8 grandchildren, Kathryn, Lacey, Alexis, Nickolas, Austin, Ashia, Jayden and Shelby; 4 great grandchildren, Kaleb, Emmalyn, Mila and Hayes.  She is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Vicki Driggers and Marcia Embrey; 3 brothers, Howard, Bob and Bill Perkins and a grandson, Zackery.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Chester Miller officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.  Calling hours will be 2 hours prior to services from noon to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
