June MacConnell, Age 95, of Minerva, formerly of Portola Valley, CA, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in the St. Luke Lutheran Community of Minerva. She was born March 5, 1921 in Minerva to John and Cleo (Rue) Ruff. She had been a secretary. She graduated from Minerva in 1938 and Spencerian Business College in Cleveland. She was a member of the Palo Alto Aux. to the Packard Children's Hospital in Palo Alto, CA where she was also a Roth Aux. member. She was also a member of the Cosmopolitan Club in Polo Alto and the Stanford Women's club.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James MacConnell, who died in 1991; 2 brothers, Jack and Jerry Ruff. She is survived by 5 nieces and nephews, Gary (Connie) Ruff, Karen Draher, Jennifer (Ted) Dunbar, Jodi (Greg) Holtz, Greg (Diane) Ruff, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. in the chapel at East Lawn Cemetery with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating.
