Julie C. Lane

Julie Lane, age 70, of Minerva, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024 in Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton. She was born June 21, 1953 in Canton, to Thomas and Lucille (Haren) Michel. She worked at the Great Trail Care Center in Minerva for 24 years where she was the activity director for 19 years, is a 1971 graduate of Glenwood High School and is a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva.

She is survived by her husband Charles "Monte " Lane whom she married May 11, 1974; three children, Monte (Jenny) Lane of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Chris (Stephanie) Lane of Oklahoma City, OK, Caryn Lane of Massillon; 3 sisters, Janet Michel of Akron, Karen (Daniel) Crookston of Clinton, Nancy (Raymond) Gallegos of Aurora, CO; 2 brothers, Thomas (Dee Dee) Michel of Carrollton, Paul (Lori) Michel of Kerrville, TX; and 9 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Lucille Michel and 2 brothers, Lee and James Michel.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, in the St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson as celebrant. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park in Beloit followed by a reception in the St. Gabriel Catholic Church Hall at 1:30 pm . Calling hours will be Monday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with a wake service at 5:45.
