Juanita M. Bates

Age 84, of Minerva, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024.  She was born July 10, 1939 in East Liverpool to Neal and Wymadott (Hamilton) Barnes.  She was a housewife and member of St. John's Lutheran Church in New Franklin.  She graduated from Lisbon High School in 1957 and is a member of Carroll Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star #315 in Carrollton.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Bates whom she married Nov. 18, 1961, daughter, Elaine Reagle of PA, 3 sons, Harold "Neal" Bates of Minerva, David Bates of Minerva, Mark (Beth) Bates of GA, 4 grandchildren; Allison (Josh) Jacobs, Casey (Cody) Lehman, Jessica (Travis) Hulings, Michael Heffern and 3 great grandchildren, Lucas Lehman, Rynn Heffern and Arashi Hulings.  She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tanya Heffern.

Following cremation, a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 20th at 11:00 am in St. John's Lutheran Church in New Franklin.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
