Joseph W. Ferrell

Age 38, of Minerva, was taken too soon from this world and passed away due to a commercial truck accident on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.  He was born March 20, 1987 in Alliance to Charles and Linda (Randal) Hopkins of Orrville.  He was a truck driver for TC Randal Construction and a member of the Laborers Union Local #1015 in Canton.  He graduated from Malvern High School in 2005 and R. G. Drage for Diesel Mechanics and is a US Army Veteran. He is a member of the East Sparta Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Felicia Ferrell whom he married May 20, 2011, 3 children, Lexi, Savannah and Nate Ferrell, brother, Rich (Trisha) Ferrell of Minerva, 2 step-sisters, Brittany (Jordan) Schammert of FL, Connie Marling of Zanesville and paternal grandmother, Joan Hopkins of Newton Falls.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the East Sparta Church of Christ at 4796 Crossroads Rd. NE, Magnolia, OH with Andrew Masterson officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family for the benefit of the children.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
