Jonathan Lee Henning

Age 59, of Greenville, South Carolina, died Saturday, July 4, 2020 at his home. He was born April 10, 1961 to Richard and Mary (Blackburn) Henning. He was a 1979 graduate of Minerva High School in Minerva, Ohio and went on to receive a bachelor's degree in Agriculture from The Ohio State University. He worked as an automotive mechanic at Bob Jones University and was an active member of Trinity Bible Church in Greer, South Carolina. Jonathan trusted Christ as his Savior at a young age, and his Christian faith was evident throughout his life, even as he battled cancer for several years.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Henning; two sons, Samuel (Rebecca) Henning of Phoenix, AZ, and Benjamin (Lisa) Henning of Greenville, SC; daughter, Joanna Henning of Brooklyn, NY; two brothers, Dale Henning of Paris, OH, and Paul (Deborah) Henning of Marysville, OH ; sister in-law, Naomi Henning of Minerva, OH ; two grandchildren, Charlotte Henning and Ava Henning. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, David Henning, and a sister in-law, Christa Henning.

Jonathan loved and was loved by countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and numerous others, both younger and older, whom he welcomed as his own children and family.
