Jon A. McCully, age 59, of Louisville, died Sunday, November 3, 2013 suddenly at his home. He was born April 19, 1954 in Canton, Ohio to Ralph "Scoo" McCully of Minerva and the late Patricia (Haines) McClure. He was a teacher and a tutor for Minerva Local Schools and was the 7th grade girls' basketball coach for Louisville City Schools for 17 years. His passions in life were his family, coaching, golf and his cats. Jon was also a member of the Minerva United Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Holly (Garee) McCully whom he married July 26, 1975; a daughter, Lorey Dreher of Minerva; a son, Garee (Julie) McCully of Louisville; 5 grandchildren, Logan and Lance Dreher and Taylor, Paityn and Grayson McCully.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Ben George officiating. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
