John M. Toalston

Age 94, of Minerva, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026. He was born June 11, 1932 in Kensington to Leslie and Mary Edith (Saunders) Toalston. He retired from Hercules Engine where he worked for 33 years. He graduated from Carrollton High School in 1950 and was a former member of the former Glade Run United Presbyterian Church and currently a member of the Minerva First Christian Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (Cain) Toalston who died in 2021, a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and June Toalston, sister, Eleanor Jones and 3 brothers, William, Donald and Jim Toalston. He is survived by a daughter, Kathryn Loudon of Canton, 2 sons, Larry (Linda) Toalston of Canton, Carl (Abby) Toalston, 7 grandchildren; John (Chris) Toalston, Blaine (Gina) Toalston, Justin, Toalston, Eric (Jewel) Toalston, Kallie (Daire) Russell, Karli Loudon, Brett Snyder and 4 great grandchildren; Bella and Lore Russell, Evelyn Toalston and Mason Carrington.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Pastor Chris Sanford officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
