John W. Temme
Age 74 of East Rochester died Monday March 21, 2011 in his home. He was born Oct. 11, 1936 in Steubenville to August and Jennie (Simpson) Temme. He retired from J&L Steel in Louisville after 30 years of service. He is a US Navy Veteran and an active member of the Hanoverton Presbyterian Church where he was a former Elder.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Bohl) Temmer who he married March 19, 1960, a daughter Jennie (Tom) Carpenter of Garner, NC, three grandsons; David, Johnathon and Joshua Carpenter of Garner, NC and a special brother Charles Raffle of New Philadelphia. He is preceded in death by three stepbrothers; Ralph, Donald and James Lightfoot.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Tom Allmon officiating. Calling hours will be held from 11 am to 1 pm on Friday prior to services. Following cremation, burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Salineville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethesda Presbyterian Church or the Alliance Visiting Nurse and Hospice Assoc.
