John "Jack" Jarvis

Age 79, died Tuesday, October 15, 2019 in Community Hospice in New Philadelphia. He was born September 26, 1940 in Salineville, OH to Sherman and Jean (Thomas) Jarvis. He retired from PCC after 40 years of service, graduated from Salineville High School and served in the US Army.  He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Yoder) Jarvis, whom he married August 19, 1977; a daughter, Debbie Jarvis-Chretien of Virginia; 2 stepdaughters, Cheryl (Mike) Smith of Georgia, Dawn (Ted) Goebeler of Minerva; 2 sons, Steve (Elizabeth) Jarvis of Alliance, Rick (Sheri) Jarvis of Minerva; a sister, Karen (Clyde) Reed of Salineville; 5 brothers, Gayle (Kaaren) Sevek of Carrollton, Tad (Cheryl) Sevek of Lisbon, Richard (Darla) Jarvis of Minerva, Roger Jarvis and Roy Jarvis of Minerva; 14 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Ray Sevek.
