John Rayburn "Pete" Hemsley

Age 78, of Minerva and formerly Cadiz, passed away, Wednesday, July 5, 2023 in the Arbors at Minerva. He was born June 25, 1945 in Steubenville to Emmitt and Kathryn (Gaffney) Hemsley. He worked for the Chrysler Corporation at the Jeep factory in Toledo.  He graduated from Steubenville "Big Red" High School and is a US Navy Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Fay (Deakins) Hemsley; 3 daughters, Nicole (Richard) Barfield, Leah Cumisky, and Erica Pant; son, Ryan (Kayla Bailey) Hemsley; sister, Cynthia Pennington; and 10 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Dennis C. Hemsley and a sister-in-law, Marcia Hemsley

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
