E. John "Moosey" Karcher

Age 69, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023 in the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton. He was born Aug. 25, 1954 in Canton to the late John and Dorla (Shuman) Karcher. He is a truck driver for First Choice Propane in Alliance. He had worked it the Imperial House Hotel in Belden Village through high school and then worked at several restaurants in Canton as well as Nashville, TN. He was a Chef, Master Maître D, and an accountant for the Shisler's Cheese House. He is a member of the Grace Chapel in Minerva and a graduate of Glenwood High School in 1971.

He is survived by a daughter, Autumn (Cody) Rector, son, Austin Karcher, grandson, Royce Rector, sister, Krystal (Edwin) Ranowsky of Magnolia, niece, Desiree (Brent Knight) Pesko of Minerva, Nephew, Sean (Debbie) Karcher of FL, 2 great nieces, Kyrah Knight, Shannon Karcher and a great nephew, Aaron Karcher. He is preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Pesko.

Funeral services will be Friday at 12 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Kirt Henman officiating.  Burial will be in Henry Warstler Cemetery.  Calling hours will be one hour prior  to services from 11am to noon at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Chapel in Minerva.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
