John F. Hudson

Age 81, of Malvern, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2017 in Aultman Hospital surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 1, 1936 in Kokomo, IN to Lloyd and Edna (Ebert) Hudson. He retired from Colfor in 2011. He was a Corporal in the US Marine Corp witnessing the A-Bomb test in 1957 at Camp Desert Rock, Nevada. He is a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Malvern where he was a 4 ^th Degree, Knights of Columbus, member of the Men's Club and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dolores (DeMarinis) Hudson whom he married Oct. 5, 1963, 5 sons, John (Megan) Hudson of Stow, Frank Hudson of Malvern, Patrick (Carol) Hudson of Minerva, Philip (Dawn) Hudson of Kansas City, MO and Mark (Bethany) Hudson of Suffield, 2 brothers, James (Marcia) Hudson of Kokomo, IN, Robert (Patricia) Hudson of Kokomi, IN, sister-in-law, Beverly Lampers of Tallmadge, brother-in-law, Joseph (Beverly) DeMarinis of Malvern, 9 grandchildren, John, Michelle, Caleb, Kyle, Chase, Britny, Mia, Daniel and Andrew and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Malvern with Fr. Victor Cinson and Fr. Philip Racco as celebrant.  Burial with full military honors will be in the church cemetery.  Calling hours will be Friday from 3-7 pm at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with a wake service at 6:45 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Francis Church Hall Building Fund.
