JoAnn L. Kohl

Age 82, of Minerva, passed away Monday, Dec. 11, 2023 in the Arbors of Minerva. She was born Nov. 15, 1941 in Canton to Carl and Ellen (Lutz) Miller. She is a member of the Minerva First Presbyterian Church.  She loved to collect angels, was an avid crafter and loved to cross-stitch, knit and work in her garden.  She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, play cards, travel, go camping, gambling and spend time with her cats.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Kohl whom she married in 1982, 5 children, Pam (Rod Patterson) Whitcher of Euclid, Steve (Christine) Kohl of East Rochester, Katie (Scott) Welch of Alvin, TX, Kurt (Geneen) Whitcher of Hinckley, Robin (Lois) Whitcher of Palm Coast, FL, 2 sisters, Janice Davis, Janette Maxwell, 2 sisters-in-law, Patricia Miller and Linda Miller, 10 grandchildren; Russell (Sidney) Hilverding, Tara (Caleb) White, Elizabeth Hilverding, Celeste (Chris) Morton, Wyatt Kohl, Haley Kohl, Zach Whitcher, Sheldon (Dawn) Whitcher, Ross Whitcher, Ryan Whitcher, 3 great grandsons and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Ellen and Sheldon Stockum, father and stepmother, Carl and Dorothy Miller, grandson, Joshua, 3 brothers, Ronald "RC", David and Rusty Miller, sister, Marilyn Becker, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Roy and Ann Kohl, and a brother-in-law, Dick Kohl.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Kathryn Ophardt officiating.  Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
