Jimmie W. Phillips

Jim Phillips, age 73, of Malvern, died Monday, February 28, 2011 in Aultman Hospital following an apparent heart attack. He was born May 30, 1937 in St. George, WV to Alva and Colleen (Sturms) Phillips. He retired from Cross Wholesale in Minerva where he repaired and stocked vending machines and was also a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Minerva.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Patti (Doug) Lewis of Kensington and Robin (Bill) Ennis of Hartville; 3 sons, Randy (Lauri) Phillips of Annapolis, MD, Kevin (Sandy) Phillips of Louisville and Kelly "Butch" Phillips of Malvern; 1 sister, Gwen (Dean) Waugh of Kensington; 1 brother, Robert (Ella Jane) Phillips of Minerva; 11 grandchildren; 2 great granddaughters.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Palmela Jo Phillips; a son, Jonathan Stauffer; 4 sisters, Elwanda Minich, Barbie Delauder, Vonda "Bunny" Fazenbaker and Carolyn Sue Mullins; 3 brothers, Murl Phillips, Edwin "Sonny" Phillips and Alston Phillips.

Funeral services will be Friday at 4:00 p.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Stephen Woyen officiating. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
