Jerry A. Potter

Age 80, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 in Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton. He was born June 20, 1942 in Dover to Fred and Nellie Lucille (Hickman) Potter. He retired from J&L Steel in Louisville where he worked for over 30 years and a member United Steelworkers Union Local #1046.  He graduated from Tusky Valley High School and he is a member of the Louisville Eagles Aerie #2374 where he loved to spend time with family and friends.  He loved to spend time fishing, hunting, golfing, playing cards and most recently singing karaoke.

He is survived by his wife, Katie (Keim) Potter whom he married October 17, 1982, nine children, Chris (Debbie) Potter, Kenny (Amanda) Potter, Randy (girlfriend Tammy Evans) Keim, Kathy (Bill) Conway, Jacob (Christine) Coblentz, Becky Potter, Robert (Wendy) Coblentz, Brenda Coblentz, Christina (Jeff) Porinchok, 31 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one on the way, 2 great-great grandchildren and one on the way. He is preceded in death by a son, John Potter in 1995.

Calling hours will be on December 12 from 11:00 – 1:00 pm in the Maple Grove Mennonite Church in Hartville.  Funeral services will immediately follow with Nathanael Hofstetter Ressler officiating.  Graveside service will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hartville. A dinner will be served at the conclusion of the graveside service at the Maple Grove Mennonite Church.
