Jerry Lewis

Age 78, of Minerva, died Tuesday, June 14, 2022 in Aultman Compassionate Care Center. He was born on October 4, 1943 in Canton, OH to Alloy and Virginia (Ellington) Lewis. He is a retired Sergeant for the Minerva Police Dept., and a Perry High School graduate.  He was a former member of the Minerva F.O.E Aerie #2199, and a member of the Minerva United Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine who passed away May 28, 2010 and a son, Jeffrey Albright.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Michele (Steven) Ingram of Guyton, GA and Hether (Jay) Hawk of Minerva; 2 sons, David (Sheila) Lewis of Savannah, GA and Daniel Lewis of Gray, GA; 2 brothers, Dale (Heidi) Lewis of Malvern, OH and Gary (Ellen) Lewis of Palmetto, FL; 5 grandchildren, Jacob Hawk, Patrick (Alexis) Lewis, Macy (Corey) Strader, Dustin (Tabitha) Ingram, and Kaitlyn Hawk; 2 great grandchildren, Adalyn Strader and Jenson Strader.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Burial will be in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
