Jerrie I. Smith

Age 91, of Minerva, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022. She was born July 20, 1931 in Alliance to Elza and Jenny (Fotheringham) McGrath. She was a housewife and had worked at Latta Brothers and later Campbell Oil. She was quite an artist and enjoyed quilting parties and was a member of the Robertsville Crochet Club. She was also quite a worker and helped extensively on the house they built in 1962 including getting on the roof and helping with the shingles. She loved to travel and nothing was more important to her than her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George Smith who died in 2013; a brother, Richard McGrath; and a grandson, Benji Smith. She is survived by 3 sons, Timothy (Diane) Smith of Minerva, Kenneth (Miranda) Smith of Alliance, Craig Smith of Minerva; 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

A private family service will be held with burial at Liberty Cemetery near Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com .
