Janice M. Hilgert, age 83, of Louisville died Monday, May 13, 2013 in the Minerva Eldercare. She was born Aug. 19, 1929 in Defiance, Ohio to Walter and Ethel (Westerh) Summers. She was a longtime employee of the Timken Company where she retired after 30 years of service as a secretary. She was also a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Louisville.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hilgert who died in 1990; a son, Robert Hilgert; sister, Mary Davis; 4 brothers, Millard, George and Phillip Styer and Richard Summers.

She is survived by a 3 sisters, Lois Summers of Minerva, Barbara Johnson of Sacred Heart, MN and Nancy (Mike) Silovich of Canton, and many nieces and nephews including Sharon (Glenwood) Klotz of Minerva and Sandy (Fred) Hartzel of FL.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
