Jane E. Eick, age 84, of Malvern, died Thursday, October 1, 2015 in the Aultman Compassionate Care Center. She was born August 28, 1931 in Moultrie, OH to Carl and Evelyn (Bucher) Schmidt. She had been a cook for Cibo's Restaurant in Waynesburg and the Little Forest Inn in Malvern. She was a 4-H Leader for the Telstar 4-H and the Searchers 4-H and loved making decorations with plastic canvas.

She is survived by husband of 63 years, Thomas Eick Sr., whom she married December 22, 1951; 2 daughters, Jean (Gary) Craven of Waynesburg, Tina Gray of Waynesburg; 4 sons, Thomas Eick Jr. of Minerva, Larry (Rhonda) Eick of Minerva, Terry (Vickie) Eick of Minerva, Jon (Jodi) Eick of Bloomingdale; 2 sisters, Rosina Seaburn of Dellroy and Linda (Mike) Priebe of Sauk Village, IL; brother, Carl Schmidt of Minerva; 20 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandsons. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Visnick; sister, Cleta Hartshorn; and a brother, Clarence "Conkey" Schmidt.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Phyllis Crone officiating.
