James I. Wallace Age 78, of Malvern, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born Oct. 11, 1936 in Magnolia to the late Lloyd and Margaret (Locker) Wallace. He retired from AKRO in Canton where he had worked for 27 years. He is a member of the Trinity Gospel Temple in Canton. He is a US Army Veteran having served two tours in Vietnam, a lifetime member of the National VFW and a lifetime member of the National DAV and a member of the Malvern American Legion Post #375.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Randal) Wallace whom he married Feb. 3, 1961, 3 daughters, Lisa (Harold) Kemper of Columbus, Amy (Richard) Hearn of Minerva, Jemey Sue Schuster of MI, 3 sons, Thomas Wallace of Malvern, Jeremiah (Miranda) Wallace of Columbus, Robert (Debbie) Wallace of MI, daughter-in-law, Tammie Wallace of Minerva, 3 sisters, Mary Lou Johnstone of Canton, Jessie (Jack) Sweeney of Carrollton, Jeanie (John) Shatzer of Canal Fulton, brother-in-law, Roger Warden of WV, 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son, Timothy Wallace, sister, Janet Warden, 2 brothers, Thomas and Daniel Wallace and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Sharon Carnes officiating. Calling hours will be Friday 6-8 pm in the funeral home. Following cremation, he will be interred in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
