IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James L
Sears
February 3, 1954 – May 7, 2023
James (Jim) Leslie Sears
69, of Alliance, Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, after a courageous 15 year battle with kidney disease. He was a fighter until the end. He died peacefully surrounded by his family. Jim was born Feb. 3, 1954 in Alliance to the late Robert and Dorothy (Walters) Sears.
Jim was a truck driver by trade for many years. A profession he loved. When he was no longer able to drive, he worked for Minerva Tree Care (Michael Ray) where he enjoyed working outdoors. He also loved to fish and golf for relaxation. His greatest love was his Harley which he would often park right on the front porch. Over the years he had many "good times" with many friends. He was especially close to his brother-in-law Anthony James whom he referred to as my brother and best friend.
He was predeceased by a sister, Clara Barker (referred to as the "Family Doctor"). He is survived by his wife, Sharon (James) Sears, and three children, Amanda Weber (Donovan Rubin), Bobbie Joe Sears, and Stephen Sears all of Alliance, grandchildren; Stephen Weber, Madison Puckett, Olivia Rubin, Devin Sears, Mundy James and Vincent Sears. He is also survived by his siblings; Steve (Ruby) Sears of Alliance, Iva (Michael) Ray (whom he referred to as my beautiful little sister) of Minerva, Donald Sears of Wapakoneta and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held as opposed to traditional services. Family and friends will be notified of the date and time. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
